A rare lacquered and gilt wood Netsuke of a Noh dancer Japan, Edo period (1603-1868) Late 18th/early 19th century.
Finely carved standing holding a peony in his right hand, his robes with very fine details of key fret patterns and zigzag patterns.
The netsuke is 41 mm high, 36 mm wide and has a thickness of 16 mm.
It weighs 13 grams.
