A Japanese Wood carved Netsuke from Edo period (1603-1868) 18th/19th century .
Image of man in a seated position wearing a finely decorated kimono with gourds and leaves behind a grain mill. The netsuke is 34 mm high, 38 mm wide and has a thickness of 28 mm.
The Netsuke weighs 12 grams and is signed Gyokuzan to the base of the mill.
The netsuke is skillfully carved out. Perfectly captured facial expressions, beautifully detailed.
The Netsuke is signed (carved) at the bottem Gyokuzan 玉山
