This section gives an overview of etchings by Rembrandt that were printed in a later period. Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn ( Leiden, 15 July 1606 – Amsterdam, 4 October 1669) was a Dutch painter, etcher and draughtsman. He is generally considered to be one of the greatest painters and engravers in European art, and as the most important Dutch master of the 17th century. In the 18th and 19th century, a number of his original etching plates were used again and updated.
